This project (and web page) is a work in progress.

"Circuit Breakers" is a transmedia online anthology show that asks, how can robots be more human than human? In a mirrored universe full of biomechanical characters, a group of young robots must reconnect with their manifested souls before evil mega-corporations find it first.

CB ("Circuit Breakers") is currently in pre-production. Lore details are being tweaked while the story is in development. All info, concepts, and ideas may change. BUT for now, enjoy!

So far, the plan is to have two pilots; one pilot for film festival distribution, and one pilot for online publishing.

Pilot One follows L0Fi the robot as he aims to create a fake commercial to impress a studio job. He's a huge fan of this studio and will do anything to get a job there. Plus, his roommate will kick him out if he doesn't get a job soon.

Pilot Two follows Socket reuniting with his close friend. Having been apart for years, will their relationship still work?

There are four seasons planned.

While the whole series will be an anthology story, each season will follow a set of different (and some times returning) characters.

This world is set in a "post-modern sci-fi" alternate universe to our own, with a huge dash of retro cassette futurism.

Seven mega corporations rule the world. Space time fissures called "Aberrations" have spread across the universe that bend reality. If controlled correctly, life is given.

This show focuses on self expression and acceptance against conformity as its core theme.

Meet the Robots!

CB_cast_2026 2.jpg

Circuit Breakers is about non-humans who seem "more human than human." While some of these characters are robots, some are also object heads too, a coined term and character type that's become popular online lately (as of the 2010s).

I found it fascinating how many can express themselves while wearing an object over their heads. So characters like Astro, Kit and Ray are object heads, each representing a different emotion. Kit is a nervous nerd, constantly buying and ordering merchandise from her favorite franchise. Ray is an old fashioned gal who's trying to understand modern trends.

And how to object heads work in this world? Through the magic of television!

"It's kinda like this mixed with that..."

Imagine if Syd Mead's concept art came to life, and it was directed by Gareth Edwards, and edited by Edgar Wright.

That's Circuit Breakers.

Or take Helluva Boss meets Andor, with a sprink of Scott Pilgrim.
